It’s hard to
make history

using only the processes
from the past.

We’re a dynamic, energetic, Louisville-based public relations agency with enthusiasm for the business. We take pride in partnering with clients who understand the value of public relations and how it can impact their business. Take a moment to learn about our company, services, clients, and staff — and discover what sets us apart from the rest of the pack.

A member of the Advertising Federation of Louisville, Tandem Public Relations and Marketing also belongs to the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America’s Bluegrass Chapter, both of which have recognized our work.

People haven’t
changed.
The way you talk to them has.

  • Media Relations

A clear and concise media strategy is required when building a reputation profile among any segment of the media. Tandem has repeatedly worked with clients to help them reach targeted audiences with compelling stories told through the lens of the media. With a solid grasp of the media landscape, Tandem knows how to tailor each client or situation to the needs of the press. Our ability to approach the media strategically is what sets us apart.

  • Crisis

Every day, a new crisis erupts in the media. Who picks up the pieces and helps executives and companies put everything back together? The team at Tandem is well-versed in the crisis communications arena, having worked with local, regional, and national companies when a safety net wasn’t enough to save the day. We can step in at a moment’s notice, assess a serious situation, provide support and tactics for moving forward, and implement damage control measures designed to revive a reputation, salvage an image, or simply help avoid a disaster.

  • Advertising

Creating a visual component for every brand-building campaign is often a critical step in the entire process. At Tandem, we work closely with clients, designers, and artists to make sure that separate elements are connected through sharp, exciting, and creative visuals. We apply our experience to create stimulating ads that get attention, as well as a broad range of collateral print and online elements that bring stories to life. Our ability to connect the dots through images, words, actions, colors, and ideas is the cornerstone of our business. That expertise translates into results for our clients and their brands, products, or events.

  • Brand Development

Creating a brand image requires careful planning, persistence, and even a little luck. Tandem knows how to create the framework needed to establish a strong brand presence in the marketplace. But just as a brand image can be created, it can be destroyed due to a poor product, bad customer service, or reputation problems. Tandem has the experience to help create and establish a solid brand identity and protect it, as well.

  • Public Affairs

A critical component of public relations is often public affairs — appealing to the community to build support for issues often associated with government or charitable enterprise. Public affairs programs operate within the realm of communicating with government officials, civic leaders, community officials, and a host of support organizations to build consensus toward an issue that may impact the entire civic landscape. Tandem works frequently, and successfully, with clients who need a targeted outreach program aimed specifically at these groups.

  • Events

All too often, individuals and companies hold events for all the wrong reasons or with no clear purpose in mind. The team at Tandem works directly with clients to assess how an event meets achievable objectives, dovetails with an overarching strategy, or helps ensure a desired result. We provide guidance and support in all the details that go into event planning, including site selection, concepting themes, technical needs, and more. Our goal is to go above and beyond to ensure that the event makes strategic sense and that it creates an impression by delivering a message.

  • Media Training

When the camera is in your face and the klieg lights are blinding your eyes, would you prefer to be prepared or not? There's no question about it — talking with the media and communicating a specific set of message is an art form. Tandem can jump in and provide media training to individuals and groups who don't want to be caught off-guard. We cover everything from understanding how the media works to how to survive a cutthroat interview. We can help create an insightful media training session that will instill confidence and a newfound ability to answer the tough questions.

Working with you. Not around you,
ahead of you, or in spite of you.

Helping clients move forward
by bending over backwards.
